As of March 1st, 2014, we will no longer be offering Project DIY monthly subscriptions.  We are working to refocus the Project DIY experience.  Connect with us on Facebook and stay in touch! 

  • First, the basics: What is Project DIY?

    At M&J Trimming, we’re constantly impressed by our customers’ style and creativity, so we decided to start Project DIY, unique and original DIY projects inspired by the runways and hot trends using materials and trims from M&J Trimming. We’ll help you make your own fashion accessories, providing you with the inspiration, ideas, instructions and materials to make a collection of new projects based on fashion trends. Unlike the typical shopping trip, Project DIY is designed to get your creative juices flowing, providing customizable options and tips from our staff of DIY enthusiasts so you can make your accessories truly your own. And when you’re finished, you can share your custom creations, exchanging ideas with us and our Project DIY community. Explore, indulge and be inspired.

  • Why are you not selling the subscriptions anymore?

    We’re closing our subscription so we can refocus Project DIY in the near future.

  • What is going to happen to my subscription?

    The Modern Heirlooms collection will be the last Project DIY subscription collection. We will be canceling all subscriptions after that and we will not charge your card after March.

  • What happens if I received a gift subscription or a subscription for multiple months?

    We will handle these on a case by case basis and will refund you the money for any months past March that you will not receive.

  • Will I still be able to buy the Project DIY collections?

    We will be selling past individual collections and projects on the M&J Trimming website while supplies last.

  • How do I access information on the current collection?

    You can access current and past projects information under Latest Projects. There you’ll find the step-by-step instructions to view online or print out for handy reference, information on each month’s collection, photos of finished projects, tips for customizing, inspiration on how to wear your pieces, and additional resources. We’ve got you covered.

  • Can I show what I made?

    We love to see your creations. Hashtag your photos with #mjprojectdiy on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook so we can see your projects and how you style them. Check out our Socialize page to see what others are saying about Project DIY!

  • When will I be charged for orders?

    You will be charged on March 12th for the final collection and you should receive your box before the end of the month.  

  • How do I make changes to my Project DIY subscription?

    You can manage all of your subscription information from My Account. You can also update your credit card information and change your shipping addresses from My Account.

  • How can I cancel my subscription?

    Please contact our Customer Service team at 1-800-965-8746 or email us at info@mjprojectdiy.com and we will process your cancellation within 1 business day. Once your subscription is cancelled by one of our Customer Service representatives, you will receive an email confirming the cancellation. Once our last collection, Modern Heirlooms, has shipped, we will go ahead and cancel your Project DIY account for you.

  • Can I return or exchange a collection?

    We do not accept returns or exchanges. If you receive a damaged or defective item in your shipment, email us immediately at info@mjprojectdiy.com or call 1-800-9-MJTRIM (1-800-965-8746) and we will ship you replacements at no extra charge and as soon as possible.

  • I think I'm missing 1 or more items from my shipment. What do I do?

    Well, that's embarrassing. We're so sorry. Email us at info@mjprojectdiy.com or call our customer service line 1-800-9-MJTRIM (1-800-965-8746) and tell us what you're missing. Our customer service agents are here to help, and they will make sure to ship you replacements asap.

  • What do I do if I receive a defective item in my shipment?

    Email us at info@mjprojectdiy.com or call our customer service line 1-800-9-MJTRIM (1-800-965-8746) and our customer service team will send you replacement materials immediately. We'll will make it right, we promise.
